About us

When my father passed away, I experienced firsthand the value of a dedicated funeral director. The peace of mind and attention I received at that time sparked my wish to pursue this role. After a career in advertising and PR, I sought more meaningful work, which I found as a personal caseworker at the Childcare Allowance Recovery Operation. I also volunteered at a hospice and trained as a confidential counselor. At the Recovery Operation, I met Karijn; we immediately recognised our shared desire to support people during the process of saying goodbye. It feels special to now do this work together, with the care and space for a memorable, personal farewell.

For me, working with a social mission is self-evident. After various roles at charities, I spent the past few years working as a personal caseworker at the Childcare Allowance Recovery Operation. I worked intensively with affected parents, which inspired me to train as a confidential counselor. During that time, I also met Beline; our similarities and differences make us a great complement to each other. When I lost two loved ones in a very short time, it gave me a firsthand experience of the special work of a funeral director. This meaningful role at such a crucial time touched me deeply and inspired me to choose this honorable profession, which combines my interest in people and my passion for organizing.
